Indian dance king Prabhu Deva set to scintillate Muscat in debut performance

Muscat: All roads lead to the City Amphitheatre in Qurum this Thursday, April 24. From 7.30pm onwards the amphitheatre will be lit up to celebrate the rollicking dance of the one and only Indian king of dance, the inimitable Prabhu Deva, all the way from Chennai, India.

First-ever live performance
Titled ‘Prabhu Deva’s Bash’, the show features the dance king in his first-ever live performance in Oman. The event is organised by Black & White Oman in association with JMR Events and Mediasenze.

Indian Michael Jackson
The Indian Michael Jackson, as Deva is popularly known since the time he blazed many of India’s dance stages and the celluloid world, is an actor, dancer, choreographer, producer and director.
The troupe is led by the show director, Harikumar of Shaa Entertainments.

Famous orchestra
Playing a perfect foil for Deva and Singh are Tamil Nadu’s most-famous light music orchestra, Saadagai Paravaigal, who has accompanied many stars to successful shows in Muscat on previous occasions.

Oman’s top singer



Oman’s topmost singer, Haitham Mohammed Rafi, will be an exciting add on as he will open the dance event on Thursday. 

Salim Sinbad’s breakdance
Famous Omani break dancer, Salim Saed Salim Al Harrasi, also known as Salim Sinbad, will be part of the show, along with two of his team mates.

Young dancers of Oman
The event offers a unique opportunity for some of the talented young dancers of Oman to rub shoulders with the dance maestro himself, a dream come true for many dance aspirants. 

Charity fund raiser
Another highlight of the event is a charity fund-raising dinner – for Children First Association -- that will be organised on Wednesday, April 23, a day before the dance show, at the lawns of the W Muscat.

Dutch Whistler
Geert Chatrou, a professional Dutch whistler par excellence, will be entertaining the guests at the fund raiser.
