Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) will begin conducting a public opinion survey on Sunday, focusing on employment, social protection, sports, and entertainment.
The survey will continue until June 25 as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to provide accurate data that reflects societal realities and aids in policymaking and decision-making.
Saada bint Abdullah Al-Maawali, Director of the Information Reports Department at NCSI, stated that the survey aims to measure Omanis' perspectives on the labour sector and examine trends in sports participation and recreational activities. Additionally, it seeks to assess public satisfaction with available tourism services across various governorates.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), she explained that the survey targets Omani men and women aged 18 and above, with data being collected through phone interviews.
She urged all targeted citizens to actively participate and share their opinions objectively, emphasizing that their input will contribute to the development and enhancement of the services provided to them.
Al-Maawali reaffirmed that all collected data will be handled with strict confidentiality in accordance with Royal Decree No. 55/2019, particularly Article (11), which mandates that individual statistical data remains confidential and may only be used for statistical purposes in an aggregated form.
