Muscat:- Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shibani, Minister of Education, received today Dr. Rima Karami, Minister of Education and Higher Education of the Lebanese Republic.
The meeting came within the framework of the Lebanese Minister’s official visit to Oman, aimed at enhancing educational cooperation between the two countries and exploring opportunities for exchanging expertise in various educational fields.
The meeting addressed a number of joint educational topics, including strategic planning and development of educational policies and programs, digital transformation in educational administration and teaching processes and educational supervision, evaluation mechanisms, and quality assurance in basic and secondary education.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the Lebanese Republic. Procedures are currently being finalized for its signing during the meetings of the Omani-Lebanese Joint Committee.
During the visit, an expanded meeting was held between the two sides. During this meeting, the Lebanese side presented a paper titled "The Education Sector in the Lebanese Republic", while the Omani side presented a paper titled "School Education in the Sultanate of Oman and its Future Prospects".
