
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday joined the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in celebrating its 54th National Day, which falls on 2 December, as part of the distinguished relations linking the two countries.
The Secretariat General of National Celebrations organised a joyous celebration today at the Al Khatm border crossing in Al Buraimi Governorate. The event included diverse segments, most notably musical pieces performed by the Royal Oman Police Music Band, a visual presentation of the celebration organized in Al Khuwair Square on 24 November, followed by a musical piece, a student performance, and various artistic displays.
The Secretariat General of National Celebrations, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, also organised a national celebration at the Al Wajajah border crossing amidst participation from citizens.
The celebration began with the reception of a number of officers, officials, and citizens from the United Arab Emirates, and the exchange of congratulations on this occasion. The event witnessed the presentation of many artistic musical displays, and musical compositions performed by the Royal Navy of Oman Music Band.
Furthermore, the art of “Al Hambal” was performed on the backs of camels in North Al Batinah Governorate. The performance was done while carrying the flags of the two countries. The celebration concluded with a song whose lyrics conveyed the depth of the historical and deep-rooted relations, good neighborliness, and familial ties between Oman and the UAE.
These celebrations reflect the depth of fraternal relations and good neighborliness between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, and serve as an exemplary model of cooperation and cohesion between the two countries.
