Annual Traditional Weapons Shooting Championship kicks off in Al Buraimi

Al Buraimi: The activities of the 11th Annual Traditional Weapons Shooting Championship commenced today at the Al Buraimi Governorate Shooting Range.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by the Omani Committee for Traditional Weapons Shooting, in cooperation with Al Buraimi Governorate, the championship will continue until 13 December.

The championship coincides with a series of accompanying events that add distinctive heritage and community atmospheres, including a camel parade, folk arts (Al Ayyala), a paragliding event, a classic car show, a productive families exhibition, and a traditional weapons exhibition.

This provides visitors with a comprehensive experience combining sports, heritage, and family activities. The championship continues to enhance the presence of traditional shooting in Al Buraimi Governorate as an authentic part of Omani heritage, providing a competitive platform for shooters to showcase their skills in a professional, organized environment.
