
Muscat--- Several winners were honored at the conclusion of the Arab Shooting and Airgun Championship with bullet and airgun weapons for various individual and team categories for men and women, which was held at the National Olympic Shooting Complex in Muscat.
In the 50-metre rifle individual competition for men, shooter Ali Al Saidi from the Sultanate of Oman won the gold medal, while Khalid Al Dosari from the Kingdom of Bahrain finished second, and Khalid Al Majid from the State of Kuwait took the bronze medal. At the men’s team level in the 50-meter rifle, the Sultanate of Oman led the teams, followed by the State of Kuwait in second place, while the Kingdom of Bahrain received the bronze medal.
In the 25-metre center-fire pistol individual competition for men, shooter Safar Al Dosari from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the gold medal, while Muath Al Balushi and Yousef Al Khatri from the Sultanate of Oman finished in second and third places, respectively. At the men’s team level for the 25-meter center-fire pistol, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came first, followed by the Sultanate of Oman in second place, and the State of Qatar in third.
Regarding the women’s 50-meter rifle individual competition, Fawzia Mohammed from the Kingdom of Bahrain achieved the gold medal, and her colleague Sarah Khalaf won the silver, while Maryam Larzouqi from the State of Kuwait obtained the bronze medal. In the women’s team competition for the 50-meter rifle, the Kingdom of Bahrain won the gold medal, the Sultanate of Oman came second, and the State of Kuwait received the bronze medal.
