University Medical City begins work at new operating rooms of SQU Hospital

Muscat: The University Medical City has commenced operation of the new operating rooms expansion at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Hospital, following the completion of execution and preparation requirements according to the highest technical standards.

This step reflects an institutional approach based on effective governance, restructuring priority medical projects, and transforming them into effective operational assets that serve national healthcare needs.

The expansion includes 7 advanced and integrated operating rooms, equipped with digital integration systems and high-precision surgical technologies, alongside the advanced "Brain Lab" technology. This enhances the accuracy and efficiency of surgical procedures, raises safety standards, improves healthcare quality, and supports specialized fields with therapeutic and educational impact, particularly in complex surgeries.
