Muscat: More than 7,000 tourists visited the National Museum since its opening for the public from July 30 until August 30. The numbers stood at 7,113.
This included 2,188 male and female citizens comprising 30 per cent and 3,329 children and students, comprising 47 per cent.
A total of 976 residents in the Sultanate visited the museum comprising 14 per cent; 61 visitors from the GCC visited the museum comprising about 1 per cent; 399 visitors were from the tourists category comprising 6 per cent and 82 visitors from the special categories and the rest from other categories. The number of followers of the museum’s official pages in social media stood at 10,632.
