
Muscat; The 2026 Oman International Drifting Championship, organised by the Oman Automobile Association under the patronage of Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritageand Tourism for Tourism, concluded featuring over 50 racers from more than 20 countries.
The championship, recognised as one of the most prestigious drifting events worldwide, highlighted Oman’s position as a regional and international hub for motorsports, thanks to its professional organization, top safety standards, and large spectator turnout.
The results saw Ahmed Daham claim first place in the international category, followed by Tommy Kelly in second and Jack Shanahan in third. In the local category, Ahmed Al Amri took first place, followed by Tarek Al Shehani and Ali Al Balushi.
The two-day championship was held at Muscat Drift Arena at the Oman Automobile Association headquarters as part of the Muscat Nights 2026 events, offering a highly competitive atmosphere, comprehensive logistical arrangements, and attracting a large and enthusiastic audience .
