
Sohar: The Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in North Al Batinah Governorate has announced the implementation of a package of diverse Ramadan programmes across the governorate’s wilayats, as part of its efforts to enhance Islamic values during the Holy Month.
Mohammed Khamis Al Badi, Head of the Islamic Affairs Section at Department, stated that during the Holy Month of Ramadan, the department is working to provide a wide range of religious programmes, initiatives, and activities. These include 11,880 lessons, five preaching convoys, and 4,500 lectures, in addition to 60 seminars and evenings distributed across all wilayats of the governorate.
He explained that the plan includes organising 16 workshops for government institutions in the governorate titled "Ramadan Thoughts." Furthermore, the department is supervising 25 Quran memorization competitions in cooperation with sports and cultural teams in the wilayats. The implementation will also feature more than 7,560 Quran circles and 120 community preaching programmes, which will contribute to spreading religious awareness and reinforcing a sense of values within the community.
Al Badi emphasised that these programmes are part of an integrated plan aimed at magnifying the message of the mosque, consolidating Islamic values, enhancing community partnership, and achieving the desired positive impact during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
