Two persons found dead, one rescued after vehicles swept away in South Al Batinah

Muscat: Two persons were found dead while the third was rescued alive during an incident involving the sweeping away of three vehicles in a wadi channel in the Wilayat of Wadi al Maawil in South Al Batinah Governorate.

Rescue teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) rescued a person in good health, while another person was found dead. The search operations continued for the third missing person who was later found dead.

The authority calls upon citizens and residents to exercise utmost caution and vigilance, to refrain from risking crossing wadis while they are flowing, and to adhere to the guidelines issued by the competent authorities, in order to safeguard lives and property.
