National teams maintain Oman’s active presence at 6th Asian Beach Games in China

Sanya -- The Sultanate of Oman’s national teams continue to maintain their active presence at the 6th Asian Beach Games being hosted by the Chinese city of Sanya from 22 to 30 April 2026.

Oman’s aquathlon player Mohammed Al Ghailani secured 19th place in the competitions, while the national beach soccer team opened its campaign in the tournament with a 7-2 victory over its Palestinian counterpart in the first round.

Oman’s beach soccer team is scheduled to play its Chinese counterpart on Saturday 25 April, as part of the second round of competitions.

However, in beach handball competitions, the Oman team lost to its Thai counterpart (0/2) at a match that brought them together in the second round of the tournament.

The Omani team is scheduled to face the Maldives team on Friday, 24 April, in the third round of competitions.
