MUSCAT: In an evening where diplomacy converged with economics and culture intersected with investment, the Sultanate of Oman officially unveiled the identity of the Oman-Russia International Exhibition under the ambitious slogan “From Oman to the World,” in what observers described as one of the region’s most significant economic and diplomatic launches of 2026.
The ceremony, attended by high-ranking officials, ambassadors, decision-makers, business leaders, and prominent economic and media figures, was far more than the unveiling of an exhibition identity. His Excellency Dr. Oleg Vladimirovich Levin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman, affirmed that relations between the two nations are witnessing accelerated growth across multiple sectors, noting that last year marked the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Oman and Russia.
He highlighted the historic state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Russia in April 2025 and his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing the visit as a pivotal milestone that established new frameworks for cooperation in investment, energy, industry, trade, and economic development.
The Ambassador emphasized that the Oman-Russia International Exhibition will serve as a strategic platform for creating joint investment opportunities and strengthening direct communication between business communities in both countries.
He further revealed that Moscow and Muscat are currently expanding the work of the joint governmental committee, with preparations underway for its first official meeting in Moscow later this autumn.
