
The Athletes Forum, organized by Oman Olympic Committee, represented by the Oman Athletes Committee in Dhofar Governorate, commenced yesterday morning (Wednesday) and continues until this evening, with broad participation from athletes and sports media representatives from sports clubs, in addition to physical education teachers and those interested in sports affairs.
The organization of this forum comes within the framework of the efforts of Oman Olympic Committee to enhance direct communication with athletes, raise sports awareness, exchange expertise among various components of the sports ecosystem, develop performance, and support the progress of Omani sports.
The forum featured several sessions and panel discussions addressing various sports issues, presented by Khalifa Al Jabri, Chairman of the Oman Athletes Committee; Asaad Al Hasani, Vice Chairman of the Oman Athletes Committee; and Mohammed Al Habsi, Member of the Oman Athletes Committee. They discussed topics related to developing the athletes’ environment, strengthening the role of sports committees, and supporting effective communication with various target groups.
The sessions also addressed the most prominent challenges facing athletes across different sports, ways to enhance institutional sports work, in addition to discussing the role of sports media in supporting national achievements and strengthening their presence in the sports scene.
The forum targets athletes and sports media representatives from sports clubs, in addition to physical education teachers and those interested in sports, while also providing opportunities to exchange expertise and present initiatives that support the development of the sports sector and enhance the sustainability of its successes.
The forum will conclude its activities this evening after a series of interactive sessions and discussions aimed at producing recommendations that support the future of Omani sports and reinforce institutional cooperation among various relevant entities.
