Parts of Oman to witness thunderstorms

Muscat: Parts of the Sultanate of Oman are likely to witness isolated thunderstorms on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "There is a chance of cumulonimbus cloud formation and scattered thunderstorms accompanied by active downdrafts over parts of the Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas. Scattered rainfall of varying intensity is also possible over parts of the desert regions of Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates."
