Al Dhahirah Municipal Council explores means of enhancing traffic safety

Ibri--- The Municipal Council of Al Dhahirah Governorate discussed, during its seventh regular meeting for 2026, a number of service, organizational, and developmental topics. Most notably, the discussions addressed the regulation of heavy truck movement and the enhancement of traffic safety on the governorate's roads, where several proposals were presented, including changing truck routes, constructing alternative roads, and allocating designated parking sites for them.

The members discussed a proposal to establish a specialized center for autism spectrum disorder, and a request for the urgent maintenance of the flood protection bridge in the Wilayat of Dhank. In addition, they reviewed a visual presentation on the current status of the collective livestock farms initiative and its latest developments.

The Council concluded its session by reviewing the recommendations contained in the minutes of the meetings of the Social Affairs Committee and the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, directing that the necessary measures be taken regarding them.
