Muscat: Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy, received on Monday the representatives of Oman Trade Office in the United States of America, affiliated with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), during their visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the Office's key achievements and future plans were discussed, along with the opportunities and challenges encountered, and ways to enhance joint cooperation to ensure the realisation of the objectives for which the Office was established.
The visit also focused on activating mutual economic and investment partnerships, foremost among them supporting Omani exports and increasing their access to the American market, in addition to attracting American investments to the Sultanate of Oman and developing areas of trade cooperation between the two countries.
It is worth noting that the volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States of America reached approximately OMR555.26 million by the end of July 2026.
Among the most prominent exports from the Sultanate of Oman to the United States of America are chemicals and aluminium, while vehicles and means of transport are among the most prominent goods imported from America to the Sultanate of Oman.
