Muscat: Companies that use Oman’s national emblem (dagger and two swords) for commercial purposes will be prosecuted, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry warned.
“The ministry has noticed the illegal usage of the Sultanate’s emblem (dagger and two swords), the Royal emblem (The crown, dagger and two swords), and Oman’s map on different products,” the statement read. Using these emblems as a trademark or for commercial advertisement is banned, according to the ministry. Moreover, it is illegal to put the emblem on products which are produced locally or imported without a prior permission from the minister of commerce and industry.
