Muscat: Oman’s first Franchise Expo was opened in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Muscat yeterday under the patronage of Said bin Saleh Al Kiyoumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).
The two-day expo is being organised by Al Nimr Expo and Conferences. Salim bin Omar Al Hashmi, Chairman of Al Nimr Expo and Conferences said that the expo presents a unique marketplace for Oman’s micro- small to medium entrepreneurs to explore various business prospects, gain knowledge and insights on the latest development and opportunities in the franchising industry.
He added that more than 45 exhibitors from Canada, Italy, and countries in the Gulf region are taking part in expo including more than 60 brands, which are represented by the World Franchise Associates.
The expo aims at providing SMEs and entrepreneurs with various business opportunities. It also aims to help them have insights on the latest developments and opportunities in the billion worth franchise industry in the Middle East region.
The conference focuses on several themes including the principles and concepts of franchise, how to make your brand franchisable, how to select suitable franchise and the legal problems associated with franchise.
The Sultanate provides a good platform for franchise as it has many factors including economic stability, tourism and population growth. The exhibition is expected to provide an ideal platform for sales transactions, marketing brands and inking deals. The visitors will have a good idea about franchise and will explore a range of new and secured business opportunities.
