Muscat: The Oman Football Association (OFA) revealed the list of support staff of newly appointed national team coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Sultanate’s soccer governing body also revealed the list of technical, administrative and media teams of Oman national team.
According to the state met, the OFA board members approved the lists after consultations with the concerned officials and departments.
Spaniard Juan Ramon Lopez Caro, who was named the Oman team coach in the middle of January, will be assisted by Lorenzo D.
Lopez Caro’s coaching staff also includes fitness trainer Cedric V, goalkeeping coach Chadli Alambruki and Abdulkadir G, translator and video analyst.
Al Maimani on board
Meanwhile, OFA named Maqbool bin Mohammed Al Balushi as the manager of the national team.
Former international and Gulf Cup winner Badr bin Mubarak Al Maimani will be the assistant team manager. The team also includes Ahmed bin Nasser Owaisi and Badr bin Sultan Al Battashi.
The OFA board has decided to appoint a team doctor after consultations with concerned officials.
However, the medial team will include Harry Brooke, who is the head of OFA’s Sports Medicine and Science, Yaqoob Al Mahrooqi (physiotherapist), Slovenian Pavol Skoda and Ukraine’s Ryabovol Gennadiy (masseurs).
The OFA also revealed the list of national team’s media team and that includes Khamis bin Saleh Al Balushi (media coordinator), Mohammed Suleiman (video) and Saleh bin Mubarak Al Shamlan (photographer).
New roles
Meanwhile, Mohammed Al Alawi, the former national team manager, and Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Balushi have been given new roles.
Mohamad Al Alawi has been appointed as the Director of Corporate Affairs while Mohammad Al Balushi has been named as Manager of National Teams Department.
