Oman's Majlis Al Shura Chairman receives Arab League Secretary General

Muscat: Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura received in his office on Sunday Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, who is currently visiting the Sultanate.
Al Ma’awali stressed the significant role being carried out by the League in enhancing the Arab cooperation and convergence of views among the sisterly Arab states. He highlighted the League’s contributions in strengthening the Arab solidarity.
On his turn, the Secretary General of the Arab League hailed the Sultanate’s role and contributions in spreading the message of peace among nations. He also commended the wise policy of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said towards the political issues in the Arab world.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed al-Shamsi, Deputy Chairman of Majlis A’Shura and Sheikh Ali bin Nasser al-Mahrouqi, Secretary General of the Majlis A’Shura.
