No increase in water, electricity tariff, ministry clarifies

Muscat: There has not been a proposed increase on water and electricity tariffs, officials announced.
The Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) has released a statement clarifying rumours that have been circulating on WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
"There are rumours circulating that the PAEW is sending recommendations to the Council of Ministers to raise electricity and water tariffs. We would like to assure audiences that these messages are completely false. The PAEW also stresses the importance of only trusting information from official sources, and to not pay attention to rumours."
