Muscat: A major conference on the real estate sector – Oman Real Estate Conference – will be held on May 15 and 16 at Hotel Grand Millennium. The conference is organised by Oman Real Estate Association (OREA).
“We want to create a constructive platform for the real estate sector where the relevant stakeholders, including the policymakers, regulators, real estate developers, real estate management and broking companies along with the allied sector can work together for the sustainable growth of the industry by exchanging knowledge on best practices, optimizing emerging business opportunities, and finding solutions to challenges,” said Eng. Mohammed Salim Khalifa Al Busaidi, chairman of OREA.
Oman Real Estate Conference has been patronised by the key government bodies and private sector players for the improvement of the real estate industry. The event will be attended by a cross-section of the top officials from the relevant ministries, public and private sector enterprises, and industry bodies.
Talking about the key issues to be discussed at the event, Hassan bin Mohammed bin Juma, Vice President of OREA, said, “The conference will encompass presentations by industry experts from Oman and the international market and thought-provoking panel discussions on the market opportunities and solutions to the key challenges. Knowledge sharing on developments in the integrated residential complexes, emergence of unconventional projects, best practices in real estate regulations, brokerage and training, building sustainable communities and smart urban planning, and encouragement of public-private partnerships (PPP) models will be the main draws.
“In addition to the strong conference agenda, we are going to have an exhibition showcasing some of the most prominent and newly launched real estate projects in the country. The presence of over 300 senior government officials, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs over the two days will provide a unique networking opportunity.”
