Omantel to pay 20 per cent interim dividend

Muscat: Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel), the Sultanate’s biggest telecommunication service provider, said the company’s board has approved a proposal to distribute 20 per cent interim dividend to shareholders.
The interim dividend for 2017 will be distributed to the registered shareholders as on August 31, Omantel said in a disclosure statement posted on MSM website.
The board has also approved its unaudited financial results for the first half of 2017, besides appointing Mehdi Mohammed Al Abduwani as member of the audit committee in place of Mohammed Hamed Al Maskari.
