Muscat: Indian School Muladha celebrated the Teachers’ Day on the school campus on September 8.
The School Management Committee organised a function for teachers and their families to pay gratitude to its teaching community.
The programmes were held in the school Kids’ World.
Siddique Hassan, president, School Management Committee, Felix Vincent Gabriel , convenor, Ankur Goel, academic chairperson & IT In-charge, Sundaram Miller, staff welfare and sports sub-committee chairman, Dr. Khazi Arshad Jafar, former president of SMC, Dr. Madhusudhanan , former convenor & academic sub-committee chairman, S.I. Shareef , principal, V.S. Suresh , vice principal, Dr. Lekha O.C. , CC&EC coordinator, Vidya M., former vice principal of the school, teaching and administrative staff and their families attended the function.
Felix Vincent Gabriel delivered the welcome address. He emphasised the important role played by teachers in life of students. He also welcomed the dignitaries and other guests.
President, Siddique Hassan applauded all the teachers for their invaluable contribution in the development of the school. He said that the school and students owe success to the teachers because of their hard work and commitment.
Speaking on the occasion, S.I. Shareef, principal, expressed his delight for having talented teaching community in the school. He highlighted the cooperation, encouragement and boundless support given by the president and members of the SMC in the development of the school.
The teachers were honoured and presented a gold coin as a token of appreciation for their services.
The entertainment and cultural programmes held on the occasion spellbound the audience.
S.N.G. Murty, Deepthy Praveen, Mary Kunju, Runa Reji and Akshaya Suresh sung melodious songs. Games and other activities were also held on the occasion.
Reetha Shivaraj, staff representative, proposed the vote of thanks on the conclusion of the function.
