Muscat: Procedures for the assessment and admission of students for the Oman University Scholarship Programme – University Stage, for the academic year 2017/2018 have been completed by the Oman University Project Office.
Standard tools including standards international tests have been used for nominating the candidate students. One hundred and thirty-one male and female students; holders of general diploma education or its equivalent have been nominated to take the admission test for Oman University Scholarship, organised by the Higher Education Admission Centre.
Twenty-five candidates have been accepted, raising the total number of students accepted at the different majors of study since the launch of the programme in 2015 to 121 students.
Oman University Scholarship Programme aims at preparing Omani academic, administrative and technical staff to fill the vacant positions at the University City (Oman University and Science and Technology City) when they become operational.
Oman University Scholarship Programme dispatches students to most elite universities in the world to study many majors that serve Oman University in particular and the Omani labour market in general.
The Programme has prepared a list of the recommended universities. The list is updated regularly as per the updates on the ranking of such universities.
