MUSCAT: A massive fire engulfed a residential building in Muttrah on Tuesday night.
According to the traders in Muttrah Souq, the fire broke out late in the night and the police team doused it with great efforts. Nobody was injured in the incident. The building is located near Baladiyah in Muttrah.
“The entire building was damaged in the fire. However, all the families staying their were moved out safely by the police rescue team,” the traders added.
Last month, Mazrook Keethadath, a shop manager in Muttrah, lost goods worth OMR200,000 in his warehouse blaze.
Oman records a fire case every three hours, according to a 2015 report by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
