Al Hashar Pharmacy receives ISO 9001:2015 certification

Muscat: Al Hashar Pharmacy and sister company, Capital Pharmacy (A Division of Transworld for Marketing & Trading), the leading pharmaceutical distributors in Oman, unveiled the ISO/9001:2015 certificates at a glittering event here at Crowne Plaza Muscat recently.
Al Hashar Pharmacy has been in the forefront in healthcare for 45 years representing world-class manufacturers such as Eli Lilly, USA, Sanofi, France, Roche Diabetes Care, Tabuk, KSA Neopharma, UAE, Menarini, Italy and such, marketing their world-class products for the benefit of patient’s in Oman.
Besides the widespread pharmaceutical distribution network throughout Oman having medical stores in Muscat, Sohar and Salalah, Al Hashar Pharmacy is also into clinical and industry diagnostic segments with its medical equipment and reagents that provide state-of-the-art diagnosis of patient pathologies. The sister company Capital Pharmacy also represents several international manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical space such as Cipla, India, Valeant, Canada and Vitabiotics, UK.
In the presence of distinguished guests that included the companies’ key stakeholders, the certificates were presented to Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al Hashar, Al Hashar Pharmacy chairman and Sheikh Nasser Said Al Hashar, director of Al Hashar and Capital Pharmacies, by John Rosario, the Bureau Veritas country manager. Suresh Gandhi, CEO of the company was excited to share his enthusiasm as he remarked, “Our philosophy continued to remain together, we will win as a team.”
The ISO awards ceremony started with a video that highlighted the company’s achievements and contributions since its inception towards the growth of Oman and especially its healthcare. The 45th-anniversary video was followed by a welcome address delivered by Suresh.
It was also noteworthy that the event coincided with Al Hashar Pharmacy’s 45th anniversary. In a key segment of the awards ceremony, Al Hashar Pharmacy’s Quality Management Representative, Teby Joy, presented the teams’ journey through the ISO process while some of her team members shared their experience of the course.
The internal auditors of the company were felicitated and the certificates were given away by Dr Simon Joseph, managing director of Infobiz Solutions, the companies’ ISO consultant. It turned out to be a proud moment when several leading customers and principal companies of Al Hashar Pharmacy and Capital Pharmacy shared about their warm association with the company. Those who could not make it to the ceremony sent their warm wishes and courteous regards.
The event also saw the soft launch of the new line of Dermo Cosmeceutical range ‘Vayly’ (Talking Water) from Value Pharma. The Vayly representative, Huda Al Makawi gave a presentation on Vayly’s skin care products and starter packs were handed out to all the guests.
