Muscat: Twenty-four employees consisting of 14 male and 10 female Omani employees from Khimji Ramadas commenced their 21-day Higher Level Leadership & Management Training in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of career building initiatives designed to groom employees for larger roles within the organisation.
This is the 13th batch of national employees undergoing overseas development programme. The programme will include interactive workshop sessions, three days of outbound learning and a combination of fieldwork, mentoring and tutoring.
Reiterating the company’s commitment towards developing national talent, Pankaj Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas said, “As a people-centric organisation, we have always invested in the future of its staff and bringing their skills on par with industry standards through regular training. Our overseas programmes create learning opportunities for our talented Omani employees so that they return empowered with better skills efficiencies, more competent and ready to take on bigger management portfolios within the company. ”
The initiative dates back 12 years when KR started the practice of nominating top performing national employees for a wide range of overseas training and development programmes to hone personal and managerial skills. These courses are tailored to meet the requirements of specific posts within the various departments of the organisation and focus on personal development, skills enhancement and personal effectiveness training. On completion, employees have shown marked improvement in skills efficiencies, resulting in higher competency levels for larger portfolios within the company.
