Three arrested for theft, selling alcohol illegally in Oman

Muscat: Three suspects were arrested in cases of theft and bootlegging, according to a statement issued by Royal Oman Police (ROP).
The Directorate of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation led by the police command in Ad Dakhiliya, and in cooperation with Bidbid police station, arrested an expat on charges of stealing from three shops in Bidbid.
An ROP spokesman said: "The accused managed to steal more than OMR1,000 and prepaid mobile phone cards from a shop in Bidbid."
"Izki police station also arrested two people while they were trading alcoholic beverages, and a quantity of alcoholic beverages were seized from their vehicle" the spokesman added.
The suspects were referred to the judicial authorities to complete the legal proceedings.
