Muscat: Dr. Mostafa I. Waly and Prof. Mohammad Shafiur Rahman from the Department of Food Science and Nutrition in the College of Agricultural & Marine Sciences at the Sultan Qaboos University, co-edited the book “Bioactive Components, Diet and Medical Treatment in Cancer Prevention”.
The book that was recently released by Springer, New York, provides a basic understanding of cancer, its risk factors, preventive measures, and possible treatments currently available, as well as identifying the different dietary factors that might work together with a sedentary lifestyle to cause cancer, and its prevention measure.
The editors of the book are active in the research field related to the prevention of cancer with bioactive components. The contributing authors for this book were selected considering their expertise in their respective fields.
