Muscat: Principal of Indian School Darsait Dr. Sridevi P. Thashnath has once again been appointed as post-result CBSE counsellor to help students and their parents overcome common psychological problems and to answer general queries after the declaration of the Class X & XII board examination results.
The counselling started from May 26 and will continue till June 9 between 4pm and 8pm on all working days. It is a voluntary, free of cost service that can be availed of by students of Indian schools in Oman. The CBSE counselling is an outreach programme designed keeping in mind the heterogeneity of the student population and the geographical spread.
During the second phase, 69 expert volunteers including Principals, trained counsellors, and special educators from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and psychologists will be available for tele-counselling.
Out of these, 49 are from India including two special educators, while 20 experts are located in Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Qatar. Students and parents who require help may reach the principal at [email protected] or 99432243 between 4pm and 8pm.
