Filipino embassy to conduct consular outreach programme for OFWs

Muscat: A consular outreach event will be held in Salalah by the Embassy of the Philippines to provide Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in the Governorate of Dhofar with an opportunity to renew their passports among other essential services.
The event will take place on June 29 at the Intercity Hotel Salalah from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, according to a notice posted by the embassy on its official website. OFWs will have the chance to replace lost passports, authenticate documents, register as an overseas voter, apply for the Overseas Worker Welfare Administration (OWWA), and pose questions about the Social Security System.
The notice advised all OFWs who will be attending the event to make copies of their supporting documents, which may include birth certificates and passports.
