Oman’s environment Ministry distributes tree saplings

Muscat: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs in North Al Batinah distributed tree saplings to commemorate World Day to Combat Desertification.
The Ministry will continue the activities for the entire week and saplings will be distributed in the states of North Batinah, Sohar, Saham, Shinas, and Liwa officials said.
In a statement online the Ministry said, “In celebration of World Day to Combat Desertification, the Department of Environment and Climate Affairs in North Al Batinah Governorate distributed a number of tree saplings to the driver of vehicles. The activities of the Department [will] continue for a week and will include the states of North Batinah, Sohar, Saham, Shinas, and Liwa.”
