Traffic warning: Muscat road to be closed for the weekend

Muscat: Municipal authorities in the Sultanate's capital announced on Thursday that they will close the slow lane on Ruwi Street from Ruwi Roundabout to Al Hamriyah roundabout, until Sunday, July 1.
In a statement online, Muscat Municipality said, "This is to draw your attention [to the fact] that Muscat Municipality, in cooperation Royal Oman Police, will close the slow lane of Ruwi Street completely, beginning from Ruwi roundabout to Al Hamriyah roundabout. Traffic will diverted to Ruwi bridge, with light vehicles and trucks using the Al Wadi Al Kabir Road as an alternative route, starting from Thursday evening June 28 till Sunday morning, July 1."
The agency said the closure was for regular maintenance, and called on drivers to follow the traffic guides put up at the site.
