Oman Qaboos website receives global acclaim

Muscat: Ten years since its launch, the “Oman Qaboos” website has been a beacon showcasing the great personality of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the gratitude of his supporters.
The website was launched in 2008, during the country’s 38th National Day celebrations.
The Oman Qaboos website addresses 30 international languages, which include Arabic, English, French, Hindi, Persian, Swahili, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Bengali, Filipino, Urdu and Dutch.
Hamoud bin Mohammed Al-Azri, General Supervisor of the Oman Qaboos website, said that there is a diplomatic cooperation in the translation process and direct supervision by the distinguished ambassadors and diplomats. A global initiative was launched by the website four years ago, allowing people around the world to express their deep love and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos in their native languages.
Oman Qaboos has received worldwide acclaim. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands praised the efforts of the department of the website and the great work, in cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy in Oman.
The website was also praised by the president of India; President Benigno Aquino III, President of the Philippines; Al Haj Al Muhtadi Bellah, crown prince of Brunei Darussalam; and the prime minister of South Korea. In accordance with its development, plans are underway to introduce new languages, namely Kazakh, Tamil, Venezuelan, Afghan and Austrian.
