​Gang of expats arrested for series of thefts in Oman

Muscat: A gang of expats of “Asian nationality” has been arrested on charges of theft, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.

Officials have revealed that the gang used to target residential villas.

“The accused were targeting residential villas and stealing things using various tools. Police have seized a collection of jewellery and watches in addition to the tools used in the theft,” ROP has said,

Police officials added, "The crime department in cooperation with the Muscat International Airport arrested a gang of three expats of Asian nationality on charges of theft."

ROP has called on citizens and residents to take caution and follow all measures of safety to protect their property.
