Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry received at the General Diwan of the ministry yesterday a copy of credentials of Jon Gerard McCoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland appointed to the Sultanate.
Sayyid Badr welcomed the ambassador, wishing him success in his new tour of duty and the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the Republic of Ireland further progress to serve the joint interests.
The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and means of enhancing cooperation in various fields and discussed a number of issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Badr bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Head of the Western Europe Department and a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.
