Muscat: The rain Oman is currently experiencing will move into areas in the desert, a meteorologist serving at the Department of Meteorology has said.
"Watch the power of thunderstorms that developed on the Sea of Oman after the departure from the province of Muscat, God willing," said Zaher Al Shaqsi, a meteorologist at the Public Authority of Civil Aviation. "More thunder cells are now developing in the desert."
He added: "The capital Muscat received good amounts of rain and thank God for the blessings."
Al Shaqsi added that PACA was "monitoring an active thunderstorm over the Dakhiliyah Governorate. It began to enter parts of the North Batinah and South Batinah Governorates and later spread towards Muscat.
He also said that they were God "monitoring the movement of clouds and monitoring new thunder cells in the desert and near Musandam".
