ROP arrests 13 expats for violating public morality

Muscat: Thirteen Asian expats were arrested for violating Omani laws and participating in immoral acts, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

“In six different cases, the Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested 13 Asian people accused for their involvement in immoral acts and violating Omani labor and residence laws,” ROP said in a statement.

The police said that the suspects were caught in a number of buildings used for immoral activities and other acts that contradict Omani public morals.

ROP said that legal proceedings against the accused are currently underway.
