Muscat: An Asian expat has been arrested for practicing medicine without a license in the Sultanate, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said.
ROP made the arrest in the Dhofar Governorate.
In an online statement, ROP said: “The investigation department, led by Dhofar Police arrested an expat of Asian nationality for practicing medicine without a license.”
“The suspect had set up a house to treat people of Asian nationality for a small amount of money. He was caught red-handed and large quantities of medicines and medical needles were confiscated,” the statement added.
Legal action against the accused is currently underway, ROP said.
