Housemaids arrested in Muscat

Muscat: 22 housemaids have been arrested in Muscat governorate on charge of violating labor laws, the Ministry of Manpower announced.

The Ministry said in a statement online: "The joint inspection team in Muscat on Wednesday morning managed to arrested 22 domestic workers at a number of sites in Matrah and Wadi Aday for violating the labor laws."

"Legal procedures are underway."
