Muscat: Nine individuals of different nationalities were arrested after being accused in seven different theft cases, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said.
According to officials, the arrests were made in the Muscat Governorate.
In an online statement, ROP said: In the first case, an expat was arrested for stealing money from a house. Bousher police station arrested another expat for stealing jewellery from the house he worked for.”
“Mabala police station arrested two people over theft charges from under construction house,” ROP added in their statement.
Similarly, Ruwi police station managed to arrest two people over theft under duress as well as impersonating police officers. Furthermore, Seeb police arrested three people over theft following a report from a citizen.
