Eint Automotive launches Bharat Petroleum’s MAK Lubricants in Oman

Muscat: Eint Automotive of the W.J Towell Group has launched the complete range of MAK Lubricants that range from hydraulic and machine oils to engine oils for passenger cars and vehicles.

As part of its endeavour to bring reputed brands to Oman, Eint Automotive LLC, a division of the highly successful W.J. Towell Group that specialises in lubricants and batteries, has entered into a partnership with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), India’s ‘best performing’ Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking and a Fortune 500 company, to launch the complete range of premium MAK Lubricants.

The MAK Lubricants range includes Industrial oils such as hydraulic oils, cutting oils, turbine oils, compressor oils; automotive and industrial greases; speciality oils like brake fluids, coolants, white oils and transformer oils, in addition to engine oils for 2/4 stroke two-wheelers, for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

Mr. V Anand, Executive Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation, told Times of Oman: “MAK Lubricants have a very significant presence in India and the international market. We make our own base oils, a very high-quality base oil, and that makes it special.

“We’ve launched the product with Eint, and we are very sure that our products will be accepted by customers in Oman,” he added.

Mr. Riyadh Ali Sultan, General Manager of Eint Automotive, said: “This is a proud moment for us as Eint Automotive.

“We saw that the market can take these lubricants. We sell lubricants across Oman, and this is a good opportunity because BPCL has a 20 per cent market share, we love to tie up with such good and high-profile companies,” he added.

According to him, this step “adds value to the company, and we saw that in the future, lubricants will be needed. Perhaps in the future we can have a lab or factory in Oman for this purpose. We think this will succeed because Bharat and Towell are both good companies.”

According to K. Padmakar, Director (HR) of BPCL, the move is spurred on by Bharat’s success in the Indian subcontinent and the international market.
Padmakar said: “We have had many products there [in the Indian subcontinent], and we thought: Why not come to the other side? The GCC is not new to us, because the entire oil industry originates here, and we have extensive dealings here.”

Along with a host of dignitaries, present at the well-attended launch ceremony was the Chief Guest, K. Padmakar, Director (HR) Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, H.E. Munu Mahawar, the Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman and V. Anand, Executive Director (Lubes), Bharat Petroleum.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Mr. Murtadha Ahmed Sultan, Chairman of Towell Auto Group, commented, “It is a momentous occasion for us to partner with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, a leading fully integrated Oil and Gas company in India with its own refineries and R&D centre. He added, “Oman has always had positive trade relations with India. Our association will strengthen this relationship even further.”

Outlining the company’s mission, K. Padmakar said, “We are happy to partner with Eint Automotive of the trusted W.J. Towell Group and bring MAK Lubricants, which has recently been voted as India’s most trusted brand, to Oman. Apart from India, MAK has established a global presence in 12 countries and has ambitious plans to have footprints in many more.”

“Customers will now have high quality industrial lubricants and greases that are environment friendly and technologically superior in quality. The production of Group II plus base oil – ‘MAK Base’ in our own refineries has helped us gain the upper hand as far as quality of industrial lubricants is concerned,” he said.
