The Sultanate will be affected by a trough of low pressure starting from Thursday, January 9, 2020 till Sunday, January 12, 2020.
This was revealed by Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation.
“Chances of rain showers of various intensities, occasionally thundershowers, expected to start from Thursday night affecting Musandam governorate and extending on Friday to affect Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Muscat, Al Dakhliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, and South Al Sharqiyah governorates.” - Public Authority for Civil Aviation
Sea conditions will be moderate to rough along most of the Sultanate's coasts with wave heights between 1.5 to 2.5 metres.
The PACA advised all to take precautions during the rains and not to cross Wadis and to check the sea state before sailing.
