New pedestrian walkway opened in Muscat

Muscat: Muscat Municipality has opened a walkway in order to encourage the public to exercise walking in Mutrah, in Muscat governorate.

Muscat Municipality said in a statement on Friday: “ Mutrah Walkway enhances the physical activity in the city, extending for a length of 3.5 km, and a width of 3 meters adjacent to the mountainous terrain, with panoramic views of the Corniche sea road.”

“The promenade is characterized by tiling and giving elements of afforestation and side breaks, with a variety of lights in the forms of Islamic engineering.” the Municipality added.
