Tamil short film bags several awards

Muscat: Mezhugu, a Tamil short film about religious harmony, is now available for viewing on YouTube with English subtitles.
Mezhugu offers a strong social message about breaking barriers, such as caste and creed, while highlighting virtues of helping mankind. The film has received several awards in the short film competition.
Tasleem Khan, the director of the film, is an Indian expat based in Oman.
“I am very happy that I could bring this social message to short film screening, and was overwhelmed that many viewers came forward to dedicate themselves to social causes after watching the film,”Khan said.
“It was selected for an official screening at the prestigious Norway Tamil film festival. In the short film festival organized by ISC Tamil wing it also bagged several awards,” noted Khan.
The film’s cinematographer was Jason Williams, it was edited by Sriram Vignesh and the music was composed by Dillibabu.
The story concept and the production of the film was handled by Rekha Tasleem.
