Oman registers 1,000 COVID-19 deaths

Muscat: The Sultanate has registered 1,000 cases of deaths of COVID-19, according to data from the Ministry of Health, pointing to a significant increase in new cases of coronavirus infections in the region.

On Wednesday, statistics made available on Tarassud, the coronavirus monitoring app launched by the ministry, showed that the Sultanate registered 10 new deaths, with the total reaching 1,000.

The last statistics published by the Ministry of Health from 29th of September 2020 to 7th of October 2020 showed that the deaths registered in Oman was 65.
