Oman crime: Four arrested on drug charges

Muscat: Four people were arrested on drugs possession charges in Seeb, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) reported. They were accused of trading in drugs, which included 238 packets of morphine, 271 discs of other types of drugs and three pieces of hashish.
The accused were referred to Public Prosecution for trial.
Intimidation
The Royal Oman Police also reported that five citizens were arrested in Buraimi on charges of intimidation with weapons while being drunk.
A source reported that after a citizen had been beaten by one of the accused due to a dispute, he had informed the ROP. In the presence of police officers, the accused refused to surrender and resisted the arrest by police officers. According to the ROP, the accused were later arrested from their house after a raid. The three arrested were female of African nationalities.
All were referred to Public Prosecution.
