Expat arrested in Oman on drug smuggling charge

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested an expat for smuggling and trafficking in narcotic substances in Muscat governorate.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "The General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested an expatriate on charges of smuggling and trafficking in narcotic substances in the governorate of Muscat. Seized from his possession are 22 kilograms of crystal drug and 8 kilograms of hashish. The legal procedures against him are being completed."
